The place
The Boqueria Market is a metaphor for the history of the Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter. The first of Barcelona’s local markets was opened on Saint Joseph’s day, on the 19th of March 1840.

You are at a 10-minute walk from the Boquería. Cross Avenida Portal del Ángel and keep walking straight to the Ramblas; you will find the market after 5 minutes walking down the avenue.
